You fill the form on a business detail page (/business/[slug]/) with your name, email, optional phone, message, and the service you need.
We never resell your enquiry.
PetGuides.au sends every pet-owner enquiry direct to one named business via email. We do not auction your details to multiple businesses. We do not add a markup. We do not sell your contact information to insurance companies, food brands, or any third party - full stop.
What happens when you submit an enquiry
We write the enquiry to our database with a timestamp and the source page (so the business knows where the lead came from).
We email the business owner immediately via Resend. The email contains your message and your contact details.
The business replies to you direct, by email or phone.
We never see, intercept, mark up, or sell your message.
What sets this apart
| What competitors do | What PetGuides does |
|---|---|
| Oneflare auctions one enquiry to multiple businesses (per ProductReview reports) | Single business per enquiry |
| Hipages charges providers per lead (~$20-$70 per quote) | Free for businesses to receive enquiries on the free tier |
| TrueLocal sends enquiries through their messaging system (intercepted) | Direct email from us to the business |
| Yellow Pages bundles ad upsell with enquiry tracking | No upsell, no retargeting on enquiry pages |
What we will NEVER do
- Sell your email or phone to insurance, food, retail, or any third-party
- Send marketing emails to enquiry submitters without an explicit opt-in
- Add tracking pixels to enquiry confirmation emails
- Let sponsored businesses outbid organic ones to capture your enquiry
- Hold your enquiry hostage behind a paywall
Marketing consent is separate
If you tick the marketing-consent checkbox on the enquiry form, you opt in to occasional emails from PetGuides about pet-care tips and tool updates. That's optional, separate from your enquiry, and you can unsubscribe one-click. We will never bundle marketing consent with the enquiry itself.
